The 20 POUND Barrier Broken

Well I notice I haven't been blogging very well lately. I have reached losing 10% of my weight from when I first weighed in and have now reached losing over 20 lbs in the last two weeks. I am excited. I have gone down in a jean size and only have 9 more pounds to make my goal of losing 30 pounds by the time we go to pick up Garrett. Of course I will still have another 30 to lose by Melanie's wedding in July if all goes as planned for a total of 60 pounds. Keep Smiling.

Why would anyone post these terrible pictures of themselves???!!!

OK, four weeks to the day (2/12/09), 14.2 pounds lighter and a hair cut. Can you see a difference??

OK So the model is fat and wore out. What did you expect?

The beginning of the Weight Watcher's diet 1/15/09.

Isn't he lovely!!

So he looks a little drugged up and half eyed what do you expect. Christina his eye swelled up pretty good but not as bad as yours after you got elbowed in that basketball game.

The Joys of Being Scout Master

So David is Scout Master for our ward and last night they had a combined activity with all the Young Men and Young Women. They were cleaning the church and repairing Hymnals. David went to check on some of his young Deacons that were in the chapel collecting Hymnals to repair. Well as he was walking in the chapel a couple of the boys ran bursting out of the chapel hit David in the head with the corner of the door and he ended up with 6 stitches.

Melanie's Engaged

Just thought I would let everyone know that my daughter Melanie is engaged. She became engaged Friday night, February 6th. His name is Michael. Last night for our anniversary dinner (our anniversary is February 13th, it will be 27 years) and Melanie's and Michael's engagement celebration Michael took David, myself, Kathy, Mark, Ryan, & Jacob (my sister and her husband and their two boys), and Melanie and Michael's friend, Trevor, to Benni Hanna's (I hope I spelled that right, if not sorry) to celebrate. A great time was had by all. There is no date set yet they are trying to schedule around all the different activities we will be doing this year. Pick up Garrett form BYU-I, Garrett's farewell, whenever that may be, Grandma Bowen's 100th B-day family reunion etc... So we will just have to wait and see what happens. Life is great! Things keep moving along.

Weight Watcher Happiness

OK so after last week I doubled my workout and tried to drink more water and guess what? I got a ten pound star tonight. (It means I've lost over ten pounds). When I weighed in tonight I was determined that if I lost another 1 measly pound it was over. Well surprise I had lost 5.8 pounds and brought my grand total to 12.4 pounds. My sister Kathy hasn't been working out as much as me but, she has lost 9 pounds so next week she should get her 10 pound star. It's pretty funny the first week after we started I received my 5 pound star then last week Kathy received her 5 pound star now this week I've received my 10 pound star. I told Kathy that it was a good way to do it. This way each week one of us will receive a star and keep us motivated. I'm looking forward to those pictures next week cause I sure can't see any difference. I'm hoping to loose 30 pounds by the time we go to pick up Garrett (only 17.6 more to go OH MY!!!) that way I will look plump, not fat, I hope anyways. Then when I reach my final goal I will look pleasingly plump. I'll never be a size 3 or 4 again.
