The Weight Watcher Depression

OK So last week Kathy (my sister) and I went to our 2nd meeting and our first weigh in from starting Weight Watcher's. I was so ecstatic I had lost 5.6 lbs. So I doubled my work out this week and I even walked to church and then yesterday came the big weigh in and and KER PLUNK!!! I had lost only 1 measly pound. Boy did I get depressed and discouraged. My sister was my cheerleader telling me not to get down etc. etc. etc. But I sure am depressed it makes you not want to go through all the daily workouts and counting the points and everything. However David started on Weight Watchers too last week after I had lost my 5.6 lbs. He doesn't go the meetings but, he has me help him with points and stuff. So he also encouraged me to keep going. So here I am today getting ready to do my work out and see how another week goes. At my one month I'll post some pictures of the first day and then the month day. Just don't laugh I know I need help!!!

Flood can not stop the Zoo Visit

David and I had today off because of Martin Luther King Holiday. David had planned to play tennis in the morning and then come home and go with me and the Grandchildren to the Zoo around 11am. Well yesterday morning David received a call around 7am from a Bishop in one of the wards that meets in one of the Stake Centers he is over. (It just happened to be in our building and our stake as we meet in the stake center.) There had been a youth dance the night before and someone caused the toilet on one side of the church to clog and then someone else broke the handle in the stake suites bathroom. So the toilet in the Stake suites over flowed and there was an inch of standing water in there and then the clog caused flooding on the other side of the building. (No sewage though thank goodness). So because both sides were flooded. The Stake President canceled meetings in the building. We could go to any of the other wards if we wanted to. David of course was on cleanup duty all day. Then this morning he was to meet the carpet cleaners at 8am before he went to play tennis to let them back in the building to pick up the blowers that were left all night to dry out the carpet. Well they didn't come until 9 instead and then his tennis companion couldn't play so David stayed to finish with the carpet and moving furniture back to where it belonged. He wasn't home by 11 but, called around 11:30 saying he would be home in about 20 minutes so we waited and went together. Melanie's friend named Michael was willing to go to the zoo with us so we called him up and said we were still on and he met us at the zoo. It helped out a lot because then there was one child for each adult. Melanie had to work so she was unable to go with us. We had a great time though.

Mission Papers in Process

Garrett our son who is 18 and attending BYU-I called to let us know that he had talked with his Bishop and that they were starting the process of getting his papers together to go on his mission. He can submit them on February 27th and believe me he can't wait for that day to come. It will be exciting to see how the process goes and where he will be sent. He is the only one of our four children to go on a mission the other three children are girls and did the marriage thing. I guess we don't do much as parents just let the process go through. I'll keep you posted on the happenings. We are so grateful that Garrett wants to go on a mission and is willing to serve the Lord.

Weight Watchers Here We Come

OK so I have reached that mid 40's and middle age spread. It doesn't help that I am a stress eater and love fattening foods. My sister who moved to San Antonio last year and I decided we would join Weight Watchers. Tomorrow is to be our first meeting. I thought I would blog about our endeavors and see what happens. I will take pictures of me starting tomorrow and then monthly in the same outfit so we can see if there are any noticeable changes as we go along. I will share the joys and sorrows along the way and embarass myself too.

Success at Posting Family Picture

So when starting a post you need to have pictures right? After searching and clicking on buttons and of course not going to the help menu I have succeeded in posting our family picture. There is no greater satisfaction when creating a blog than being successful in posting and adding pictures.

1st Attempt at Blogging a Big Fat Failure

OK When I first tried to save my post I kept getting an error message. However I persevered and overcame the dreaded error message and what do you know after a short amount of struggling and maneuvering I was able to post my first posting for the blog. Feel free to critique as we go along on this journey together.

Starting a Blog the Rudimentary Process

OK So David has been reading Christina and Brandee's Blogs. So he said do we have a Blog? I said no we don't have a Blog. This was a few weeks ago. Well today I told him to go in and read the girl's Blogs and after reading them we decided to try to create one together. Of course he has already left and backed out of the Blog so I will try to persevere without him. He said it will be my Blog and he will add in things every now and then. We shall see!!! I will be seeking worldly advice from all you bloggers out there on creative blogging.
